Sprinter Van Service With a Driver in Westchester and Greenwich

There is a point at which a group outgrows SUVs. Five people with luggage. Eight colleagues heading to the same meeting. A wedding party of twelve. A family of nine on the way to the airport for a holiday. Splitting into two or three vehicles works, but the group arrives in pieces, conversations stop, and someone always ends up in the wrong car.

A chauffeured Mercedes-Benz Sprinter solves this. One vehicle, one professional driver, everyone together, with room to stand up and space for the bags.

This guide explains when a Sprinter is the right choice, how our two configurations differ, how groups across Westchester County, Greenwich, and the rest of Fairfield County use them, the local routing rules that catch out inexperienced operators, and how to plan a group booking so it runs well.

Two Configurations

The nine passenger executive Sprinter

Built for comfort and conversation. Executive seating, generous legroom, and luggage capacity for eight large bags. It suits leadership teams, client groups, families traveling together, and any group that wants a first-class cabin. See the nine passenger Sprinter.

The fifteen passenger Sprinter

Built for capacity. Up to fifteen passengers with space for day bags and a moderate amount of luggage. It suits wedding shuttles, corporate groups, teams, and event transportation. See the fifteen passenger Sprinter.

Choosing between them

  • Count passengers at the fullest point of the day.
  • Then count bags. Fifteen passengers each with a large suitcase will not fit in one van. For airport groups, either reduce the passenger count per vehicle or add a Chevrolet Suburban for luggage.
  • Consider the purpose. A board traveling to dinner wants the executive van. A shuttle loop wants the fifteen.
  • Think about comfort over distance. For trips beyond an hour, a group of ten is more comfortable in two vehicles than in one full van.

Both configurations are late-model, black, and unmarked. The full lineup is on our fleet page.

Why a Chauffeured Sprinter Beats the Alternatives

Compared with several SUVs. One vehicle costs less than three, the group stays together, and there is one arrival to coordinate. When the group includes a principal who prefers privacy, a common arrangement is an Escalade ESV for the principal and a Sprinter for the team.

Compared with renting a van and driving it yourself. Someone in the group loses the day to driving and parking a large vehicle on unfamiliar roads. Many rental agreements and corporate policies restrict large vans. The designated driver cannot join the toast. And a rented passenger van is likely to be a basic model with bench seats.

Compared with rideshare. Coordinating three or four cars for a group is unreliable at the best of times, and close to impossible at 5:00 AM or after a late event.

Compared with a coach or minibus. For groups under fifteen, a coach is more vehicle than needed, harder to maneuver on residential streets and club driveways, and barred from many of the same roads.

A professional chauffeur adds what a vehicle alone cannot: local knowledge, luggage handling, punctuality, a dispatcher behind the driver at all hours, and commercial insurance.

The Local Rule That Matters: Parkways

This is the detail that separates operators who know the area from those who do not.

Commercial vehicles, including chauffeured Sprinter vans, are prohibited from the region's parkways. That includes the Merritt Parkway, the Hutchinson River Parkway, the Saw Mill River Parkway, the Bronx River Parkway, the Sprain Brook Parkway, the Taconic State Parkway, and the Palisades. Many have stone bridges too low for a high-roof van. Every year, vans and trucks strike them.

For passengers, this means:

  • Routes differ from what a phone suggests. A Sprinter from Greenwich to White Plains takes I-95 and I-287, not the Merritt and the Hutchinson.
  • Timing differs. Interstate routes can add ten to twenty minutes at peak. We build that into the pickup time.
  • Some venues need planning. Clubs, estates, and restaurants reached mainly by parkway have alternate approaches that a local driver knows.
  • Manhattan has its own restrictions, including the FDR Drive, the Henry Hudson Parkway, and several bridges and tunnels with height or commercial limits. Approach routes are chosen accordingly.

When you compare providers, ask how they would route a Sprinter from Stamford to Tarrytown. An experienced operator will answer at once.

How Groups Use Sprinter Service

Corporate

  • Leadership offsites and board meetings. Directors collected from airports and hotels and moved as a group. Conversations continue in the vehicle.
  • Client visits and site tours. A delegation touring facilities along the I-287 corridor, from Purchase to Tarrytown.
  • Roadshows and investor days. Deal teams moving between Manhattan meetings with materials on board.
  • Conferences and training. Hotel to venue shuttles on a schedule.
  • Holiday parties. Safe transportation home for employees is a responsible and appreciated gesture.

Corporate accounts with consolidated billing are available through our corporate transportation service.

Weddings and celebrations

  • Bridal party transportation between getting ready, the ceremony, photographs, and the reception.
  • Guest shuttles between hotels in White Plains, Tarrytown, Stamford, and Greenwich and venues with limited parking.
  • Rehearsal dinners and after-parties.
  • Bachelor and bachelorette outings, where a professional driver is simply the responsible choice.
  • Milestone birthdays, anniversaries, and family reunions.

We explain how shuttles, VIP vehicles, and security fit together in our guide to event security and protective transportation, and the service itself on our event transportation page.

Airports

  • Family holidays. Eight people and a fortnight of luggage to JFK or Newark in one vehicle.
  • Ski and golf trips. Equipment bags consume SUV space quickly. A Sprinter takes them easily.
  • Private aviation. A full cabin arriving at Westchester County Airport or Teterboro needs matching ground capacity.
  • Group arrivals for weddings, conferences, and corporate events.

See our airport car service, along with our guides to HPN, Teterboro, and Greenwich airport transfers.

Leisure

  • Concerts and games at Madison Square Garden, Yankee Stadium, MetLife Stadium, Citi Field, and the US Open. No parking, no splitting up, no designated driver.
  • Wine and brewery tours in the Hudson Valley, the North Fork, and Connecticut.
  • Theater and dinner for a group in Manhattan.
  • Casino trips to Connecticut.
  • Golf outings with clubs on board.
  • Prom and graduation. Parents want an accountable professional at the wheel and the group together from start to finish.

Teams, schools, and organizations

Athletic teams, school groups, charity committees, and religious organizations moving small groups safely with a vetted driver.

Shuttle Loop or Dedicated Vehicle

Groups book Sprinters in two ways.

A dedicated vehicle stays with one group for a block of time, booked through our hourly chauffeur service. Right for wedding parties, corporate groups, and leisure outings.

A shuttle loop runs a repeating route between fixed points, such as hotels and a venue. Planning one properly means working out:

  • Round trip time, including loading and unloading. Allow five minutes at each end.
  • Peak demand. Most guests want to arrive in the same thirty-minute window and leave in two waves.
  • Number of vehicles. A twenty-minute one-way trip means a single van delivers about fifteen guests every fifty minutes. One hundred guests in an hour need more than one van.
  • A published schedule, including a clearly stated final departure.
  • A contact on site who can call the dispatcher.

We work these numbers with planners routinely. Send the hotel list and guest estimate and we will propose a schedule.

Three Sample Plans

A leadership offsite in Tarrytown

Twelve executives arriving at three airports on a Sunday afternoon, staying two nights at a Hudson River conference property, with a dinner in Manhattan on Monday.

  • Arrivals grouped by airport and time. One executive Sprinter from LaGuardia, one Escalade ESV from Westchester County Airport, one from JFK.
  • Monday evening, the executive Sprinter and a second vehicle to Manhattan. Routed on I-287 and I-87 because the Saw Mill is closed to vans. Both vehicles remain in the city for the return.
  • Tuesday departures grouped in reverse, with luggage loaded at the property while the final session ends.
  • One dispatcher and one invoice.

A wedding in Greenwich with guests in Stamford

One hundred forty guests, with ninety staying at two Stamford hotels. A waterfront club venue with limited parking.

  • Two fifteen passenger Sprinters running a loop, beginning ninety minutes before the ceremony. Round trip about forty minutes including loading, so each van delivers fifteen guests every forty minutes. A third van is added for the peak half hour.
  • The route uses I-95. The Merritt is closed to vans.
  • An executive Sprinter for the bridal party from the hotel to the church to the club.
  • An Escalade ESV for the couple, and another for grandparents.
  • Return loops at 10:00 PM and 11:00 PM, with a final departure at midnight, printed on the wedding website.
  • One standby SUV for guests who need to leave early.

A family holiday from Bedford

Nine family members across three generations, two weeks in Europe, departing JFK on a Friday evening.

  • One executive Sprinter for the family and a Suburban for the luggage, which includes two sets of golf clubs and a stroller.
  • Routed on I-684, I-287, and I-95 to the Throgs Neck Bridge, since the Hutchinson River Parkway is closed to vans. Departure from Bedford four and a half hours before the flight, because it is a Friday.
  • Meet and greet on the return, with both vehicles tracking the flight.

What Is on Board

Our Sprinters are maintained and presented to the same standard as our SUVs.

  • High-roof cabin with standing room and a wide sliding door
  • Leather seating, with executive captain's chairs in the nine passenger configuration
  • Rear climate control
  • USB charging
  • Tinted privacy glass
  • Bottled water
  • Dedicated luggage area
  • Black exterior, unmarked

Let us know in advance about special requests such as a particular beverage, a cooler, or a child seat.

Safety and the Driver

Carrying a large group is a serious responsibility, and the vehicle is only part of it.

  • Professional, vetted chauffeurs who are licensed and experienced with high-roof vans. A Sprinter handles differently from an SUV, particularly in crosswinds and on tight driveways.
  • Commercial insurance appropriate to passenger transportation.
  • Documented maintenance and a pre-trip inspection before every assignment.
  • Conservative driving. Smooth, unhurried, and attentive, particularly with standing room and an excited group on board.
  • A seat and a belt for every passenger. The vehicle's rated capacity is a limit, and we hold to it.
  • Weather judgment. In snow and ice we adjust timing and routes, and we will tell you plainly if a trip should be rescheduled.
  • A dispatcher at all hours and a backup plan if a vehicle develops a fault.

Planning a Group Booking

  • Appoint one group contact with authority to make decisions on the day.
  • Provide a passenger count and a bag count.
  • Share the full itinerary, with addresses and the times that cannot move.
  • Give us names for multi-pickup trips, so the chauffeur knows who is expected at each stop.
  • Mention mobility needs. A Sprinter has a higher step than an SUV. For guests who find that difficult, we recommend a companion SUV.
  • Mention children and their ages for appropriate seating.
  • Agree on food and drink. Tell us in advance what the group plans to bring.
  • Book early for peak dates. Saturdays from May through October, prom season, graduation weekends, and December fill first.
  • Review the terms. Our cancellation policy is posted in full.

Group Movements That Include a Principal

Some groups include a person who needs additional care. A chief executive traveling with the leadership team. A public figure attending a family wedding. A visiting delegation with a dignitary.

Stealth Protection holds both the transportation license and the executive protection license. A licensed protective agent can travel with the group, or a principal can ride separately in an Escalade ESV with a security driver while the team follows in the Sprinter, all coordinated by one dispatcher. There is no second company to brief and no handoff between vendors.

We explain the roles in Security Driver vs. Chauffeur, and the services on our secure transportation and executive protection pages.

What to Ask Any Sprinter Provider

  • Is the vehicle yours, and what year is it?
  • Is the driver your employee, properly licensed for the vehicle's passenger capacity?
  • What commercial insurance do you carry?
  • How do you route around the parkways?
  • Who do I call on the day if something changes?
  • Is there a backup vehicle if this one has a mechanical issue?
  • What is included in the price, and what is extra?
  • Can I see the vehicle, or current photographs of it, before I book?
